Meet the team

Mabon ap Gwyn

Mabon joined Arad in 2018 as an Administrative Officer. Mabon is responsible for supporting Arad’s work on a wide range of research projects, including arranging fieldwork and managing research data. His research interests include education (including support for children with special educational needs) and environmental change (including climate change mitigation). Mabon is currently supporting Arad’s evaluation of the School Based Supply Cluster Model Project and the evaluation of the Childcare Offer (both for Welsh Government), as well supporting research into the impact of Wales Arts International’s investment activities.

Mabon is a fluent Welsh speaker, with a BSc in Geography and MSc in Environmental Change, Impact and Adaptation from Aberystwyth University. He joined Arad from a Welsh-medium primary school, where he had been working as a Learning Support Assistant.
